The Louvre
The Louvre is one of the world's greatest art museums. It is no matter with its size or richness. At the beginning, it opens as a public museum in 1793 containing 2,500 paintings; and now some 30,000 are on display. The Grand Louvre project has many new and renovated galleries now open to the public.
